Pathway to remove Part 66 licence exclusions CASA and similar to all part 66

New pathway to remove Part 66 licence exclusions
We have introduced a new, more flexible pathway for removing exclusions/limitations from a Part 66 aircraft maintenance engineer licence.

The change gives licence holders additional options to meet the knowledge, training and experience requirements needed to expand the scope of their licence.

Previously, exclusion removal has largely been limited to training and assessment through a Part 147 Maintenance Training Organisation (MTO).

Licence holders can now choose between either:

a self-study training and examination pathway -- www.EASA66.org prepares you for the exam!
the Part 147 Maintenance Training Organisation (MTO) pathway.

Both pathways ensure that the required knowledge and competency standards in the Part 66 Manual of Standards are met.

This initiative supports greater flexibility for engineers, particularly those in regional areas, and forms part of CASA's broader work to improve licensing pathways.
